SALISBURY — A three-year-old was killed in a house fire that also resulted in the hospitalization of his uncle.
According to his mother Christina Hebb, Jordan Reese succumbed to injuries sustained in the house fire that occurred Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out on Union Heights Boulevard in Salisbury around 12:03 p.m. When units arrived to the duplex, they reportedly found a well-involved fire.
According to information from the city, crews were able to extract an adult resident from the home, who was reportedly transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem for treatment. His condition was described as serious, but additional details on that victims where not available at the Salisbury Post print deadline.
As for Reese, Hebb described her son as a happy, go-lucky kid, who could make anyone else happy just by being in the same room as them.
“He was curious, playful, happy, attitude, like every child,” Hebb said. “He would make your whole world light up whether you liked children or not, he would make you want kids.
“He was perfect. He had the prettiest blue eyes and the prettiest blonde hair with little curls.”
This is a developing story and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
