One person was airlifted after an ATV accident in Woodleaf on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately noon off of McIntyre Lane, near Potneck Road, confirmed a Woodleaf Volunteer Fire Department official. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and found one adult female who was injured in the incident in the woods away from the road. Nobody else was injured, said the official.
The injured woman was alert and able to speak to personnel on scene, confirmed the official, but required airlifting to Atrium Health Cabarrus due to the severity of her injuries.
