South Rowan freshman Carson Raper and West Rowan junior Olyvia Brown are the Rowan-Salisbury Schools athletes of the month for February.
Randy Marion Automotive sponsors the awards. Ben Goins is the presenter.
Raper is a wrestler and was the 4A state champ at 106 pounds. He was 37-3 in his first varsity season.
He showed outstanding determination, discipline and consistency throughout the season, competing at a high level and finishing strong on the state stage.
He recently placed fourth at the national level for freshmen at 106.

Brown competes in tennis, wrestling and soccer at West.
She won the 5A wrestling state championship at 114 and had a 43-0 record for the season. She was the Barry Justus Award winner as Rowan County Female Wrestler of the Year.
Her hard work, focus and commitment on the mat made her one of the top performers in the state this year.
