SALISBURY — Salisbury Police detectives made two arrests in connection with the death investigation of Landis Darnell Glaspy, 55, which was previously reported on Jan. 22.
Following an investigation described by the SPD as “extensive,” two individuals were charged.
Brandon Teon Imes, 45, has been charged with concealment of an unnatural death and disturbing human remains. Marucs Turner, 43, faces the same charges.
Both individuals were taken into custody on Thursday without incident and are currently being held at the Rowan County Detention Center.
According to information from the department, on Thursday, Jan. 22, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of South Shaver Street and East Horah Street after a report of an unresponsive man. Upon arrival, officers located Glaspy deceased in a wooded area near a residence.
The case remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional charges may be forthcoming as detectives continue to gather evidence and consult with the Rowan County District Attorney’s Office.
