Right now, TSA, the Coast Guard, the Secret Service, Customs and border patrol, ICE, FAA, Dept. of Health and the Park Service are working without pay because of a shutdown. A bi-partisan deal has been offered the president to fund everyone except ICE.
Democrats offered this deal to the president and continue discussions on ICE. The problem with ice is their refusal to operate lawfully. Homes are being broken into without lawful warrants. People are being rushed off to detention centers without access to attorneys or a hearing. This includes many American citizens, women and children.
In order to end this stalemate, the president is demanding ICE be left alone and the SAVE America Voting Bill becomes law.
In other words, he wants to allow ICE to have absolute immunity to arrest and kill Americans and keep profiled individuals in detention centers indefinitely. Very few were criminals. He also wants tens of millions of American citizens to forfeit their voting rights unless they present a birth certificate or valid passport when voting. The president claims this is due to rampant fraud in federal elections. Not true, courts and election officials have found no evidence of fraud. In Michigan, for example, 6 million people voted and only 15 individuals were determined to be ineligible. All 15 were discovered and their votes were not counted. No states demonstrated any fraud in elections.
He wants to suppress votes by ending vote by mail and make it impossible for millions to vote by passing the SAVE America voter suppression bill. Only one Democratic House member voted for this bill, Henry Cuellar. He was charged with money laundering and bribery. Trump pardoned him and the payback was his yes vote.
