STATESBORO, Ga. — Kyla Bryant (Salisbury) has traded a lot of stats for a lot of wins.
The junior guard was one of the stars for two North Carolina Central teams, averaging 11.2 points as a freshman and 13.2 as a sophomore.
Bryant transferred to Georgia Southern for her junior season. While she played heavy minutes at NC Central, she’s gotten about 19 minutes per game coming off the bench this season for a strong team.
She averages 4.8 points and 2.3 rebounds as the sixth or seventh person, although she got 31 minutes recently when Georgia Southern played App State and scored 13 points.
Georgia Southern won the Sun Belt Conference championship over the weekend with a 78-72 overtime victory at Marshall and celebrated at the school on Monday with a net-cutting ceremony.
