The 2026 season for the Salisbury Farmers Market at Railwalk Pavilion is in the planning stages, and an annual market and interest meeting has been scheduled for those wishing to receive more information.
Set for Feb. 16 at the events building on the Rowan County Fairgrounds, located at 1560 Julian Road, Salisbury, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
On a flyer sharing about the meeting, it was noted that those interested in becoming a vendor at the market are encouraged to attend and learn everything that one needs to know for the market including the vendor application process, the market calendar for the upcoming year and how to get involved with the market community.
Whether one is a farmer, artisan, maker or specialty producer, the flyer noted that they would love to meet each one.
Leigh Anne Powlas, who serves as manager of the Salisbury Farmers Market, said they are “currently maintaining our existing market balance and are specifically seeking vendors for beef, fish, cheese and dairy.”
Also during the meeting, Powlas said she couldn’t wait to share the exciting new things that will be taking place during the upcoming market season.
The farmers market meets on Saturdays at 228 E. Kerr St., Salisbury.
