BELMONT — Belmont Abbey freshman Myles Smith (Salisbury) had his best game of the season on Friday, scoring 13 points as the Crusaders (5-4) beat Clinton College 83-73.
The 6-foot-4 Smith, Rowan County Player of the Year as a senior, had five rebounds.
Smith has played in all nine Belmont Abbey games and averages 4.8 points and 2.9 rebounds. He hasn’t started a game yet, but he got a season-high 24 minutes on Friday.
He has shot well — 54 percent from the field — and made two 3s on Friday.
