SALISBURY — Salisbury’s girls tennis team closed an undefeated South Piedmont Conference regular season by beating Carson 9-0 on Wednesday’s Senior Night.
The Hornets (14-2, 14-0) have won 76 straight conference matches.
Meredith Williams, Lola Koontz, Anna Kate Goodman, Gabbi Fatovic, Campbell Aron and Mary Masters Goodman won in singles. Mary Masters Goodman’s 6-4, 6-3 win against Carson’s Morgan Hall at No. 6 was the most competitive match.
Williams-Anna Kate Goodman, Koontz-Fatovic and Aron-Mary Masters Goodman were winning doubles teams.

CHINA GROVE — West Rowan (12-2, 12-2) finished a strong SPC season with an 8-1 win at Carson on Thursday.
Hall had the Carson win at No. 6 singles.
Autumn Yount, Laney Moore, Olyvia Brown, Lucy Moore and Finley Vanwassenhove posted singles wins for the Falcons.
West got doubles wins from Yount-Laney Moore, Brown-Lucy Moore and Vanwassenhove-Regan Eggers.
Carson finished the regular season 4-11 overall and 4-10 in the conference.

GRANITE QUARRY — South Rowan finished the regular season with a 6-3 win at East Rowan and went 5-9 overall and in the SPC.
Senior Sophie Steedley led the Raiders. She won at No. 1 singles and doubles.
South also got singles wins at 4, 5 and 6 from Kynlee Carey, Jayden Overcash and Addison Farmer.
Carey teamed with Steedley to win at No. 1 doubles. Overcash-London Smith won at No. 3 doubles.
Winning for East (3-12, 3-11) were Caroline Quick at 2 singles and Mady Morris at No. 3.
Morris and Kenzie Carrico won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles.
