Salisbury mayor Tamara Sheffield invites all area youth to a free baseball and softball clinic as part of the United States Conference of Mayors support of Major League Baseball’s “Play Ball Summer” initiative.
The program focuses on the fun nature of baseball and softball and encourages an active and healthy lifestyle for children in all communities.
The clinic is on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 9 until noon at Newman Park, 598 Summit Ave..
The clinic is for boys and girls ages 7-15. The camp will be led by the Catawba baseball and softball teams.
