GOLD HILL — Local legends, spooky stories and history will all come together during Historic Gold Hill’s annual Village Ghost Walk.
Sponsored by the Gold Hill Merchants’ Association, the Oct. 17 event will, as noted in a release, provide visitors the opportunity to “step back in time and discover the mysterious side of this historic village while hearing ghostly tales of local haints and haunts.”
Tickets can be purchased, cash only, for $5 per person at the village Arbor, which is located on St. Stephens Church Road from 6-7 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the walk’s start, which begins at 7 p.m. Children six and younger will be admitted free.
The walk will be a self-guided tour with ghost storytellers stationed throughout the village among the historic homes and unique shops, “sharing stories that bring Gold Hill’s past to life in a delightfully eerie way,” the release shared. A village map along with instructions will be provided with the tickets so that visitors can explore the route and enjoy each storytelling stop.
Visitors can explore the village shops during the community event as well.
