
High Point Mayor Cyril Jefferson and candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, District 06, will be in Rowan County on Tuesday, June 2, to speak to and meet voters at Rowan Public Library South, located at 920 Kimball Road, China Grove.
The doors will open at 5 p.m for refreshments and conversation and the meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Jefferson will be speaking to attendees about why he wants their vote.
According to a release about the event, “As a former teacher and mayor, he’s delivered real results: 67-percent drop in violent crime, $10 million for workforce development, and national recognition. From preserving democracy to affordability, healthcare to housing, Cyril fights for solutions that strengthen North Carolina families and he’s ready to answer your questions.”
North Carolina’s 6th district includes all of Rowan, Davidson and Davie counties, and parts of Guilford, Cabarrus and Forsyth counties.
Open to all residents of Rowan County, hosts for the event are Rowan County Democratic organized precincts Bradshaw, China Grove and Landis. One does not have to be a registered Democratic or live in these precincts to attend this informative meeting. Those three precincts in the southern end of Rowan meet monthly at Rowan Public Library South and will continue to host their Candidate Series Speakers every month leading up to the November midterm election.
