SALISBURY — Salisbury Police responded to Novant Health Heart and Vascular, 401 Mocksville Avenue, shortly before noon on Wednesday following reports of a gunshot.
Arriving at approximately 11:30 a.m., SPD officers found an adult male in the parking lot at that location.
According to a report from the SPD, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Preliminary findings indicate the individual died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be released as appropriate.
