SALISBURY – There were no surprises at Salisbury on Friday as West Rowan’s baseball team pummeled Salisbury 16-0 in three innings.
The Falcons scored nine runs in the first inning to end the suspense. Both teams closed the regular season.
West (19-5, 11-3) used Carter Lefebvre, Cole Blevins and Carter Durant for an inning apiece on the mound in the South Piedmont Conference game.
West finished tied for second with South Rowan, two games behind East Rowan.
The Falcons had eight hits and 10 walks. Cole Blevins went 3-for-3 with two double and three RBIs. Brody Pope had a double and knocked in two runs.
Blevins, Durant, Preston Javidi and Dylan Carter scored two runs.
Nolt Lescoe had the only hit for the Hornets (2-19, 0-14)
