An event in Salisbury on Sunday will offer folks a chance to fill up themselves while contributing in a meaningful way to addressing community hunger.
JJ’s Mama’s Soulfood VIP All Access Experience is taking place at the Salisbury Civic Center on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
The program will go towards the Soulful Giving Foundation, which provides support to the community through its free meals, events and showcases. That foundation has given back in Salisbury through those events and other food-serving opportunities like at Rowan Helping Ministries.
“It is a foundation to help families that don’t have much,” JJ’s Mama’s Seafood owner Tyleata Jones said of the foundation.
They also offer kid cooking classes, free Christmas gifts and free Christmas and Easter dinners.
