LANDIS — A single car collided with a utility pole in Landis Thursday evening.
According to town officials, the motorist sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision and the utility pole was impacted.
The incident occurred on South Main Street near Everhart Avenue around 7 p.m.
Following the collision, lines connected to the utility pole were downed. Fire Chief Jason Smith confirmed in a text message Thursday evening that the patient was free from the vehicle.
Town Manager Michael Ambrose confirmed the injuries were minor. The cause of the incident was not readily available.
Ambrose indicated that nearby residents would be impacted by power outages as the town worked to resolve the issue. Power outages are expected to last for a few hours.
