CHINA GROVE — Carson’s softball team won 19-0 against Salisbury in South Piedmont Conference action on Friday.
The game ended after Carson got the Hornets out in the top of the third.
Caylee Snow struck out five in two innings of work.
Leah Troutman had two triples for the Cougars (2-2, 1-1). Piper Thonen was 2-for-2 and had a double.
Bailey Hall and Kyndall Edwards had hits for the Hornets (0-2, 0-2).

MOUNT ULLA — West Rowan got homers from Raney Phelps and Ava Baxter and beat Concord 8-5 in Friday’s South Piedmont Conference game.
Phelps also had two doubles. She scored three runs and knocked in two. Baxter was 3-for-3 with four RBIs. Reese Poole was 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. She had a double.
Kayla Burns had two hits for the Falcons (2-2, 2-0).
Phelps and Poole pitched. Poole relieved in the second inning and got the win. She struck out six.
Baxter is batting .700.
McKinley Williams had four hits for the Spiders (2-2, 1-1). Kaydence Williams had three.
