GRANITE QUARRY — Sam Blackwelder homered, doubled and drove in six runs as East Rowan’s baseball team clobbered Mallard Creek 11-1 in five innings on Thursday.
Blackwelder had 10 RBIs in two days for the Mustangs (7-0) on Wednesday and Thursday.
East scored seven runs in the second inning to make it a blowout.
Harrison Ailshie had a double and scored three runs. Zeke Stewart scored two runs.
Winning pitcher Zach Misenheimer had a double. He pitched four innings and struck out five for the win.
Julian Cauble pitched the fifth.
Mallard Creek (1-3) only got one hit.

KANNAPOLIS — South Rowan routed Concord 12-2 in a semifinal game in the F&M Bank Classic.
Davis Kemp had three hits, including a triple, for the Raiders (5-0).
Landon Deal drove in the first run.
Concord is 1-5.
South plays in Friday’s championship game at Atrium Health Ballpark against Central Cabarrus at 5:30 p.m.
The Vikings (4-2) beat A.L. Brown 14-10 in a semifinal.
Central jumped ahead 11-0 early and had 15 hits, with Ian Roseboro, Ryley Holtzen, Nicholas Towery and Andre Vaughn getting three apiece.
