SALISBURY — Catawba College senior center Mary Spry was announced as a second team All-South Atlantic Conference player on Tuesday.
A Carson graduate who played close to home, Spry averaged 17.5 points per game as a Catawba senior. She shot 51.4 percent from the field, second in the league.
Spry hauled in nearly six rebounds per game, with 47 assists and 18 blocks. She shot 81.6 percent from the foul line, third in the SAC.
Spry has logged 12 games of 20 or more points this season.
She enters this week’s SAC Tournament in Rock Hill with exactly 900 points in 104 career games played. She played in 35 games as a freshman when Catawba reached the national semifinals.
