CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Georgia Southern’s women’s basketball team concluded the season with an 82-56 loss at Miami in first-round WBIT action on Thursday.
Junior guard Kyla Bryant (Salisbury) played well for Georgia Southern and got 28 minutes off the bench. She made two 3-pointers, scored eight points and had five rebounds.
Georgia Southern (23-8) won the Sun Belt Conference regular-season championship but had an 81-53 loss to James Madison in the semifinals of the conference tournament. Bryant had one of her best games of the season in that loss, scoring 17 points in 32 minutes. She shot 6-for-10, with two 3-pointers, and had three steals.
