SALISBURY — Salisbury Police officers responded to a fatal collision at the intersection of South Main Street and Airport Road involving a vehicle and four motorcycles on Friday at approximately 10:40 p.m.
According to a release from the department, the preliminary investigation indicates that a white Toyota Corolla with NC registration “LKL-7095” turned left onto Airport Road from South Main Street and entered the path of four motorcycles traveling south on South Main Street.
As a result of the collision, Jody Holloman, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene. One motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and another motorcyclist suffered minor injuries.
After the collision, three individuals exited the vehicle involved in the crash and fled the scene on foot. According to the report, the individuals were described as two Hispanic women and one Hispanic man.
