SALISBURY — The Salisbury Police Department is actively investigating two reportedly unrelated shootings that occurred on Friday.
Both incidents resulted in serious injuries, according to a release from the department. Detectives are working to determine the full circumstances involving each case.
The first shooting occurred at approximately 5:27 p.m. in the 200 block of Audrey Lane. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. That victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and is currently listed in stable condition.
Preliminary information indicates this incident appears to be domestic-related and stems from a family dispute. That investigation remains ongoing.
The second shooting occurred at approximately 8:29 p.m., at the intersection of Faith Road and Innes Street. That incident involved gunfire exchanged between occupants of two separate vehicles.
Shortly after the shooting, one individual arrived at a local hospital with serious injuries, the release noted. That victim is also currently listed in stable condition. Investigators are working to identify all individuals involved and determine the events that led up to the exchange of gunfire.
