East’s Miley Carrico.
The 2025-26 indoor track season included an individual state championship for North Rowan basketball player KeKe Carpenter, who made a guest appearance at the 1A/2A Championships at the JDL Fast Track and won the triple jump to help the Cavaliers finish fifth in the team scoring.
In the 4A Championships, Salisbury’s boys won two relay golds. The Hornets finished tied for second in the team scores.
East Rowan had the best state showing of any of the Rowan girls teams, collecting 13 points for hurdles and relays in the 5A Championships.
All athletes who posted an official time or mark in a state meet are recognized as all-county.
