SPENCER — North Rowan’s boys basketball team romped 68-30 against South Stanly in a Yadkin Valley Conference game played on Friday.

GRANITE QUARRY — East Rowan’s boys suffered a disappointing 50-38 South Piedmont Conference loss to Northwest Cabarrus on Friday.
On paper, the Mustangs had a great chance to win it, but East (4-9, 0-4) experienced a rough shooting night — 8-for-19 from the foul line and 6-for-25 on 3-pointers.
There were 49 fouls whistled, so there wasn’t much flow to the game. In a foul-plagued second quarter, the Trojans made only two field goals, while East didn’t make any.
“We still had our chances to pull it out, down two with three minutes left,” East coach Trey Ledbetter said. “We had some great shots down the stretch, but just didn’t make them.”
Logan Bradley scored 10 of his 13 points in the third quarter to lead East. Brady Ailshie scored 10. Jaden Eudy was next with six.
The 38 points matched East’s lowest offensive output of the season. The Mustangs lost 54-38 to Mount Pleasant.
Northwest (3-11, 2-2) got 18 points from Justin Gonder and 12 from Winston Soles.
