Atlanta Falcons rookie edge rusher Jalon Walker (Salisbury, Georgia) logged his fifth sack of the season in Sunday’s 24-10 win against New Orleans.
Walker leads NFL rookies in sacks. He has 30 tackles in nine games.

Javon Hargrave (North Rowan, SC State) had a strong game for the Vikings with six tackles.
Hargrave, 32, has 40 tackles this season and has been credited with 420 (231 solo, 189 assists) in a 10-year NFL career. The Vikings are his fourth NFL team.
Hargrave has three sacks this season and 48.5 for his career. He has played in 141 NFL games.
That’s the most NFL games played by anyone from Rowan County.
Running back Billy Ray Barnes (Landis, Wake Forest) played for the Eagles, Redskins and Vikings in a nine-year NFL career. He played in 98 games from 1957-66 in an era of 12-game seasons. Barnes scored 38 touchdowns and played in three Pro Bowls. He had career totals of 3, 421 rushing yards and 1,786 receiving yards and was a star for the 1960 Eagles, the NFL champions.
