CHINA GROVE — Drew Neve scored 26 points as Carson’s boys basketball team easily beat Statesville on Monday in a non-conference game.
The Cougars led 11-3 early, were up 22-8 after a quarter and were in control, 40-18, by halftime.
Jacob Mills scored 17 for the Cougars (2-0). Will Hall had 10, and CP Perry added nine.
La’Damien Parker led the Greyhounds (1-1) with 19 points.
