MORROW, Ga. — Catawba’s men’s basketball team routed Columbus State 97-72 on Friday.
The Indians (2-1) had a super shooting night, 14-for-26 on 3-pointers and 21-for-25 from the foul line.
Throw in almost 50 percent shooting from the field and a rebounding advantage and it was a lopsided win for the Indians, who held Columbus State (1-2) to 39-percent shooting.
Justin Banks had 19 points and three blocks. LeVionne Lindsey scored 15, Ibra Athie had 11 points and 15 rebounds. Jashaun Hawkins added 12 points. Carson Daniel had eight assists.
Marlon Smith scored 19 for Columbus State.
Catawba plays again in Georgia on Saturday.
