CONCORD — East Rowan’s volleyball team won 25-17, 25-11 and 25-20 at Northwest Cabarrus on Thursday in South Piedmont Conference action.
Alli Corl had 15 kills for the Mustangs. Corl and Ava Alderman had four aces.
Leigan Lusk and Bristol Smith had three blocks.
Jordan Dry had seven digs. Jacee Eudy had 19 assists.
East (14-9, 8-2) has won nine in a row, including Tuesday’s upset of Carson.
East plays at South Rowan in a big match next Tuesday. South (14-4, 9-1) won a five-set match at East earlier in the season. The Raiders won 25-8, 25-20 and 25-17 against Concord on Thursday to stay tied with Carson for first place.

Carson (18-3, 9-1) bounced back from the loss to East Rowan by rolling against West Rowan 25-12, 25-18 and 25-4 on Tuesday.
