MOUNT PLEASANT — Salisbury’s boys soccer team crushed Mount Pleasant 8-0 on Monday in a non-conference matchup.
The Hornets (2-0) got three goals from Raymond Moscoso and two from Abdul Eliwa.
Alfredo Estrada, Fletcher Busby and Finnegan Avery scored their first goals of the season.
Alejandro Mercado Sanchez and Estrada had two assists each.
Mohammed Jabateh, Danny Castillo, Lucas Webb and Kevin Reyes had one assist each.
Combining for the shutout in goal were Avery and Jaydn Newkirk.

GRANITE QUARRY — Patrick Sanchez scored four goals as East Rowan romped 8-0 against North Stanly in a Monday non-conference match.
Matthew Avalos scored two goals for the Mustangs (2-0), who had their second straight defensive shutout.
Noah Dillon and Darrell Shrewsbury added a goal apiece.

Jon Pendleton and Daniel Alvarez scored the goals for the Cougars (2-0).
Julio Moctezuma-Diche had an assist.
