LEXINGTON — East Rowan’s boys soccer team won 7-1 at Central Davidson in Wednesday’s non-conference game.
Central Davidson (0-6) was pounded by the Mustangs (4-0-1). East led 3-0 at the break.
Noah Dillon and Patrick Sanchez scored two goals each for East. Albert Romero, Donovan Carter and Ivan Cervantes scored a goal each.
Dillon and Sanchez had two assists each.
George Nunez was credited with three saves, while freshman Luke Long had one.
East will play at Mount Pleasant after the Labor Day holiday and will start South Piedmont Conference play on Sept. 9 against Northwest Cabarrus.

SALISBURY — Salisbury beat Trinity 5-1 in a Wednesday non-conference game that got a bit heated.
Some fans of the Bulldogs (1-2-1) were ejected.
There were lots of yellow cards.
Salisbury improved to 4-0-1.
Abdul Eliwa paced the Hornets with two goals and an assist. Alejandro Mercado Sanchez, Alfredo Estrada and Fletcher Busby also scored for the Hornets.
Sam Goodman and Luke Fowler recorded assists.
“Tonight was our best performance on the season,” Salisbury coach Matt Parrish said. “We certainly didn’t convert every scoring opportunity, connect every pass, or complete every tackle, but we did play as a team. We kept our composure in an intense environment and played coordinated, unselfish soccer.”
Goodman, Jaydn Newkirk and Mohammed Jabateh had excellent matches for the home team.
Next up for the Hornets is a game at Randleman on Sept. 2.

OAKBORO — South Rowan lost 2-1 in Wednesday’s non-conference match at West Stanly.
Alex Morales scored for the Raiders (0-2) against the Colts (2-3).
Sebastian Conejo made three saves for South.
