GREENSBORO – A number of Rowan County athletes competed in the Adidas Track Nationals held at North Carolina A&T on June 18-21.
Competing for the Next Generation Defenders, Zy’Quize Carpenter was 11th in the triple jump (46-0,75).
Samuel Fatovic competed for the Next Generation Defenders in the 800. He was 15th in a time of 1:55.70.
Fatovic also competed in the 400. Landon Joyner competed in the 300 hurdles. Qua’Zair Delee ran in the 200, while Shakeel Monroe and Elijah Faison were in the 100. Taliyah Freeman was in the 100 hurdles.
South Rowan pole vaulter Kamden Rowell cleared 11 feet, 9.5 inches and was 14th.
East Rowan’s 4×800 girls relay team was 18th in 10:46.73.
A.L. Brown’s Liam Crews was 21st in the mile (4:49.58) and the 1600 (4:48.11).
North Rowan’s 4×200 relay girls were 31st. Ty’Tiana Clemons competed in the 100 hurdles and the long jump.
