SALISBURY — Reports from the Salisbury Police Department differ from the original account posted on the Salisbury Post’s Facebook page on Tuesday regarding an incident that occurred in the newspaper’s parking lot around 12:30 p.m.
Reports from the scene indicated that the victim, Rebecca Pressley, who identified herself on Facebook, had been assaulted by an unknown individual. While the investigation remains open, and that could ultimately prove to be the case, it has not been confirmed by evidence yet.
The official report from the Salisbury Police Department indicates that Pressley was delivering a DoorDash from McDonald’s. Pressley reportedly told police that she made her delivery and was walking back to her car in the parking lot when she “blacked out and woke up on the ground.”
Pressley sustained injuries to her head and her torso and was taken to the hospital. The report states that Pressley is not sure what occurred.
“It is unknown at this point if she was assault or if she lost consciousness due to a medical event and hit the ground causing the injuries,” the report said.
Pressley reported no items missing from her car or person. Investigators are currently checking cameras from the area to determine what happened since there were no eye witnesses.
