
SALISBURY — A Salisbury man is facing sex crimes following an investigation by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a release from the department, 33-year-old Samuel Edward Petre, is charged with four counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. The charges stem from an alleged April 5 incident.
The report indicated that the investigation into Petre revealed that he allegedly exposed himself and performed sexual acts in the presence of two juvenile victims while taking them for a walk.
As a result of the investigation, detectives filed the aforementioned charges against Petre.
He was arrested on May 1 and is currently being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a
$500,000 secured bond.
