Salisbury, Kannapolis, Granite Quarry, Landis, Rockwell, China Grove and Faith will have public office closures on Memorial Day, May 25.
Salisbury’s city office buildings, including the Salisbury Customer Service Center and all recreation centers will be closed. However, Fred M. Evans Pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Salisbury Community Park will also be open from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Salisbury public works will offer regular garbage and recycling collection, but there will be no limb collection and the city’s compost site is closed. The Salisbury-Rowan Utilities administrative offices will be closed, but in the case of an emergency, customers can call 704-638-5339.
The Salisbury Transit routes, including Salisbury Connect and ADA Paratransit, will not be in service on Monday, returning to service on May 26 at 6 a.m.
Kannapolis offices will also be closed on Monday, but there will be no disruption to garbage and recycling collection service. All Kannapolis parks will maintain normal operating hours, including the Village Park splash pad, train and carousel, which will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday.
Granite Quarry, Landis, Rockwell, China Grove and Faith will all close their town halls and offices for the holiday.
Landis and Faith garbage collection will operate on a one-day delay, starting Tuesday. For any water, sewer or electric issues in Landis, call 704-857-2411.
Rowan County administrative offices and the Rowan County Animal Shelter will also be closed on May 25.
Police and fire departments will be available for emergency services as usual.
