In 1776, 56 American Patriots signed the Declaration of Independence written by Thomas Jefferson and this document sent the British King George packing. It was the moment the great American success story was born.
The fight for America began years earlier by this group of men willing to defend what they saw as their country.
Definition: A patriot is, someone who is devoted to and ready to defend his country.
We can fast forward to 2026 and realize that what the Founding Fathers left for us — a free country — is being threatened by a man who has no clue about what he is slowly destroying.
It is time for every American, with due respect to religious beliefs, political affiliation or social status, to come together and become patriots willing to defend and preserve 250 years of freedom and democracy.
And if we treasure our American way of life, then we will not hesitate to join this fight for our future and the generations to come.
Fascism and tyranny have no place in American life. We do not want another mad king curtailing our rights to vote and speak and write what we believe is the truth.
Fascism is a dangerous road to embark on. Hungarians just got rid of their fascist dictator. We do not ever want what the Germans endured, or what the Russians live daily. We can take their examples and begin to plan our strategy to save our country.
The people of Hungary have shown us what form of government we do not want. Furthermore, we have the perfect role models for saving our country. We can be just as good patriots as Thomas Jefferson and the 55 men of 1776 when they said, “Enough is enough, this is our country and we need no kings to tell us what a democratic country is all about.”
So fellow Americans, if we want to save America from kingship and one-man rule, this is the time for all of us to become patriots and begin the fight to save American democracy.
Trump’s best friend, Victor Orban in Hungary, lost his bid for re-election. If fascism is such a wonderful way of life, why did the Hungarian people vote for the other way of life?
If kingship was such a wonderful form of government, why did our Founding Fathers kick out the British King and choose democracy as our form of government?
Well friends and neighbors, if we want to continue living in a free country, then the time is now for us all to become patriots — people who are devoted to and ready and willing to defend our country. Just think, what if our right to vote was taken away from us.
Abraham Lincoln: “American will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedom, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
Theodore Roosevelt: “Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president.”
No kings or fascists on American soil. Thomas Jefferson and those 55 men left us what we need to protect our democracy.
As patriots, we fight for our American way of life, and we vote for freedom and democracy in November.
Is there a better way of life anywhere in the world comparable to what we have?
