SALISBURY — Public safety officials responded to a three-alarm structure fire at 3001 South Main Street, Medina Liquidation, at 9:45 a.m. April 4.
Crews from Salisbury Fire Department and other surrounding departments as well Salisbury Police Department and Rowan Sheriff’s Office responded to the call. There were no reported injuries.
At this time, the Salisbury Fire Chief Robert Parnell concluded the fire was accidental and caused by unattended cooking started on an appliance.
South Main Street from Red Acres Road to American Road was closed for Northbound traffic, and Southbound traffic was closed from Rowan Mill Road to Red Acres road. Traffic was reopened around 1:45 p.m. on April 4.
Salisbury Fire crews continued to monitor the scene throughout the day on Saturday.
