MISENHEIMER — North Rowan’s girls basketball team ended a 10-game slide with a 42-38 win at Gray Stone on Tuesday.
The Cavaliers won for the first time since they blew out Thomasville on opening night.
It was a perfect time for a victory as the Cavaliers (2-10, 1-0) were beginning Yadkin Valley Conference play and hitting the restart button on the season.
Essence Robinson led the Cavaliers with a career-high 12 points. She got all of them in the second half.
North had good balance, as Adrionna King, Zakiya Oglesby and Melanie Parker scored seven each.
North score only 13 points in the first half, but coach Jarvis Miller saw his team put up 29 after the break.
