GREENSBORO — Braylon Taylor scored 22 points and freshman Royce Perkins had 18, but Salisbury’s boys basketball team lost to Ben L. Smith 75-59 on Saturday night.
The game was played as part of the 5th annual Black Heritage Classic hosted by Dudley.
Smith (12-4) is one of the top teams in 6A. The 4A Hornets dropped to 11-5.
“We play a tough schedule,” Salisbury head coach Albert Perkins. “Hopefully, it’s going to help us grow and develop.”
The Hornets will get back into South Piedmont Conference action on Tuesday with a big game at West Rowan.
