ENOCHVILLE — A person was killed in an Enochville fire on Thursday.
Enochville Fire and Rescue officials confirmed that a resident was found deceased inside a single-wide mobile home in Mary’s Mobile Home Park on Enochville School Road and Jay Avenue. Crews were dispatched to the scene for reports of a fire around 9 p.m. When they arrived they found heavy fire and smoke at the home. Those crews were advised that there was possibly someone inside the residence. That belief was confirmed .
The multi-crew response got the fire under control. No other injuries were reported. The blaze is under investigation by the Rowan County Fire Marshal with assistance from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The cause of the fire was not readily available.
