SALISBURY — Livingstone’s women’s basketball team pulled away with a 29-point fourth quarter and beat Elizabeth City State 85-71 on Monday at New Trent Gym.
The Blue Bears entertained 335 fans with solid 3-point shooting (10-for-28). Livingstone controlled the boards and also won the turnover battle against their CIAA opponent.
It still was close most of the way because the visitors shot 44 percent to Livingstone’s 36 percent.
Nielle Reaves made five 3-pointers and had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Bears (3-12, 2-4). Breasia Coit had 16 points and 14 boards. Ny’Asia Green made four 3s and scored 17. Jasiyah Crawford scored 16.
The Vikings (3-12, 0-6) got 14 points and 19 boards from LaNiya Scales.
