BRISTOL, Tenn. — Livingstone’s women’s basketball team is looking forward to getting a fresh start with the new year.
The Blue Bears dropped to 1-9 on Thursday with an 83-63 loss at King in a non-conference game.
Livingstone battled hard on the boards and the turnover numbers were pretty even, but King simply shot the ball a whole lot better in front of 122 fans.
Livingstone shot 34.7 percent from the field and 27.3 percent on 3-pointers.
King (5-4) shot 53 percent, with a sizzling 10-for-21 from 3.
King’s Mary Elizabeth Fox came off the bench and was the biggest difference-maker with 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting.
Nielle Reaves scored 15 for the Blue Bears. Breasia Coit had a 14/11 double-double. Ny’Asia Green and Jasiyah Crawford scored nine each.
King led 47-29 at halftime.
