SALISBURY — Catawba’s men’s basketball team routed Coker 91-66 for a South Atlantic Conference win on Wednesday.
Coker (1-8, 0-5) may be the SAC’s weakest team and Catawba had a really good shooting night. The Indians led 50-25 at the half and were able to play everyone except head coach Rob Perron.
Catawba shot almost 51 percent from the field, including 8-for-19 on 3-pointers. Catawba (6-3, 2-2) had the advantage in the turnover battle and controlled the boards.
Justin Banks led the charge with 18 points. Jordan Simpson (15), Ibra Athie (13) and Zion McDuffie (11) also were in double figures.
Zundra Jackson scored 20 for Coker.
