GRANITE QUARRY — Braylen Yates had two rushing touchdowns as East Rowan beat Carson 27-13 in jayvee football on Thursday.
Jediah Crisp’s 75-yard fumble return for a touchdown provided a huge swing for the Mustangs.
QB Nolan Rowell had a 10-yard scoring run for the Mustangs (5-3).
The Carson touchdowns were scored by Carson Pethel and Laiden Montieth.
DJ Blakeney had a long kickoff return for the Cougars (4-4).

LANDIS — South Rowan’s jayvees won 16-0 against Salisbury on Thursday.
Houstonn Polston had an impactful, two-way game, including a rushing touchdown.
On defense, he had two forced fumbles and an interception.
Zavion Crudup had a rushing TD for South (3-4). Brooks Hunter ran for a 2-point conversion.
Case Beaver and Harrison Jones combined for a tackle for loss that resulted in a safety.
Jones also forced a fumble. Levi Ballard, Jeb Ritchie and Easton Cherry had fumble recoveries for the Raiders.
Runs by Kayden Johnson produced most of Salisbury’s offense.
Christian Phillips made two sacks for the Hornets (1-7). Stanley Martin had a sack. Jabril Harris had a tackle for loss.
Darrius Graham-Taylor recovered a fumble.

Johnathan Roundtree, Jamaree Russell, Ryan Wolford, Nick Gill and Jamier Kirkley were leaders for the Wonders (5-3).
The Bulls are 4-4.

Allen Chance scored the touchdown for the Cavaliers (2-1).

MOUNT ULLA — Robinson beat West Rowan 33-0 in Thursday’s JV game.
The Falcons (2-5) played well defensively in the first half and were only down 6-0 at the break, but the Bulldogs (7-1) pulled away in the second half.
