GRANITE QUARRY — It was a pleasant Tuesday for East Rowan volleyball.
The Mustangs ended a four-match losing streak — they’ve been taking on some of the state’s top teams — by sweeping South Piedmont Conference opponent Northwest Cabarrus 25-9, 25-16 and 25-18.
The highlight for the Mustangs (6-9, 3-2) was the 1,000th career dig by senior libero Jordan Dry.
Alli Corl is averaging better than 4 kills per set and had 11 against the Trojans. Leigan Lusk had eight.
Corl had three aces.
Dry had 15 digs and led in serve receptions with 16. Rylei Minton had seven digs.
Jacee Eudy had 24 assists.
East returned to action Wednesday against West Davidson in a non-conference match.
