GRANITE QUARRY — Carson’s JV football team won 28-22 in overtime at East Rowan on Wednesday.
Both teams are 2-1.
Landon Stirewalt scored two touchdowns for the Cougars. Kasen Barbee had a touchdown and a 2-point conversion.Triton Wood scored a touchdown.
Loagn Delk and Abel Brown made interceptions, with Brown’s interception clinching the game.
Josh Brown had a big night in the trenches on both sides of the ball for the Cougars.
Carson rotates head coaches for the jayvee games. Nick Holman got the win.
Braylen Yates was the offensive leader for the Mustangs.
EJ Faison had sacks. Tre Peck stood out on defense.

LANDIS — North Stanly won 27-16 at South Rowan.
South (0-2) got rushing TDs from Austin Wood and Zavion Crudup,
Wood had a 2-point conversion run and Zayne Beaston caught a 2-point pass from Brooks Hunter.
The Comets re 2-1.
