GRANITE QUARRY — East Rowan has a strong senior class of volleyball players and is expected to be good again this season.
The Mustangs got off to a smooth start with a 25-17, 25-12 and 25-15 sweep of Gray Stone on Tuesday in Jesse Watson Gym.
Alli Corl had 14 kills, while Leigan Lusk had six.
Lusk and Jordan Dry had three aces each.
Lusk had four blocks, while Bristol Smith had three.
Rylie Minton (10) and Dry (9) led in digs.
Jacee Eudy returns as the setter and had 25 assists.
Dry and Corl handled serve-receive duties the most. Dry took 18 balls and made only one error.
