CHINA GROVE — South Rowan’s girls hosted a non-conference golf match on Wednesday at Warrior.
It was a strong four-team field with Lake Norman Charter (109), Lake Norman (122), East Rowan (128) and South (139).
Lake Norman Charter’s Caitlyn Frisch shot 34 for medalist honors.
South Rowan’s Sara Culbert shot 38 for second place. Margo Maples shot 46 and was 12th. South’s third score was Ashley Shell’s 55.
All five Mustangs shot in the 40s. Freshman Ashlyn Pfister had her best round of the season with a 47. She made three pars.
Kaley Pfister led the Mustangs with a 40 and finished sixth. Jaelyn Earnhardt shot 43 and was 10th. Izzy Stepp was 11th with a 45 and was East’s third scorer. Cailey Ludwick shot 49.
