A Vance Avenue man is facing multiple charges related to a violent domestic altercation that reportedly happened on Friday.
According to reports from the Salisbury Police Department, Juan Diego Alvarez Rodriguez, 24, of Salisbury, is charged with assault on a female, assault by strangulation and crime of domestic violence for his alleged role in the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the residence after a 911 call hangup. The victim reportedly gave her name before the call was disconnected.
During the ensuing encounter, the victim suffered multiple injuries. Officers requested an EMS to the scene for medical treatment.
Due to the domestic nature of the allegations, Rodriguez was initially held without bond.
