SALISBURY — South Main Book Company is hosting a volunteer drive called Learn How You Can Help on Oct. 3 from 5 – 7 p.m.
According to a release from the company, the open-house style event will feature several local nonprofits, and attendees will be able to learn about how they can get involved with current volunteer opportunities.
The release noted that participating organizations will represent a variety of focus areas, including literacy, child and family welfare, animal rescue, and community gardens, giving attendees a chance to connect with causes they care about.
“We have so many great opportunities to get involved in Rowan County, and I want to create space for community members to learn, ask questions, and find a volunteer opportunity that works for them,” said Alissa Redmond, owner of South Main Book company.
