CHINA GROVE — Carson’s volleyball team swept Northwest Cabarrus 25-12, 25-8 and 25-11 on Tuesday.
The Cougars (11-2, 3-0) stayed tied for first in the South Piedmont Conference with South Rowan, entering Thursday’s action.
Carson is 16th in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Reese Joyner had 14 kills for the Cougars. Tasean Perkins and Katy Falkowski had eight each.
Rylee Hedrick had 35 assists.
Alana Herring had four aces. Herring had six digs, while Cambrie Perry had five.
